What's the Difference in Colors?
There are 4 main colors when it comes to choosing a kratom strain: White, Red, Green and Yellow. Each color contains different concentration levels of alkaloids within the leaves and therefore each color has a different effect on the mind and body.
White-veined kratom strains are typically the most stimulating and invigorating and is used to sharpen creativity and enable more confidence.
Red-veined kratom strains are typically for pain management and stress reliever.
Green-veined kratom strains are typically for mood enhancement while helping the immune system.
Yellow-veined kratom strains are actually young "white-veined" kratom leaves that have not yet matured. They are typically for helping with concentration and focus.
What Are The Names That Come After The Color?
Strains of kratom suggest the place of where that particular tree is grown from:
- Thailand (Thai)
- Indonesia (Indo)
- Malaysia (Malay)
- Maeng Da is from Indonesia and it's name translates to "pimp grade".
Due to growing in these distinctly different areas, the kratom tree has evolved to adapt to each of these different environments. This makes each kratom tree varied in it's effects and potency.
Don't be fooled by fancy colors and exciting names - these are just gimmicks to help vendors sell their products.
